Objective
The purpose of this webserver developped in the frame of PREVIEW project is to provide the scientific community with a space database acquired during the International Charter context with the objective to encourage and to allow this community to develop and validate new image processing methods in the area of Risk management (change detection domain, objects recognition etc...).
This specific [DATA] given in the Charter context for some of the events mentioned will be disseminated free of charge in this scientific context. This dissemination will be done through password and controled by a particular selection of requesters.
To obtain data, scientists have to respect the obligation and usage rules and ensure feedback (results) to be included in the data server. As a feedback, all the scientific results (technical reports, publications and/or algorithms) obtained using the data will be put on this server.

Disasters & satellite data
152 satellite data sets for a total of 20 disasters are currently available through PREVIEW covering period from 2002-Jul to 2005-Dec.
Sensors: SPOT 2 (24), SPOT 4 (41), SPOT 5 (87).
Disasters types included are: Earthquake (18), Fire (15), Flood (37), Hurricane (10), Oil spill (1), Storm (3), Tsunami (43), Typhoon (20), Volcanic eruption (5).
Countries for which disaster data are available in PREVIEW: Algeria (7), Columbia (5), Comores (5), France (15), Germany (18), Haïti (8), India (7), Indonesia (24), Iran (7), Philippines (4), Portugal (11), Sri Lanka (12), Sweden (3), Turkey (4), USA (21), Yemen (1).
